Rage against the Machine

First a plug for Israeli music....For those Aussie's who like the haunting sound of Holly Throsby and vocals of Sarah Blasko...check out Daniella Spector:

So lately in the supermarket I have been encountering ISraeli Society and by this I mean confronting it.
Standing in line, I leave my Shopping cart/trolley to go and get something I had forgotten. I came back to find that someone had pushed in front of me, and had left their cart/trolley as well.
So I swapped them around. Upon her return, she confronted me and explained loudly that she just didn't see the cart/trolley...I guess I imagined it, she concurred...I did not...I don't understand why Israeli's can't wait in line I posited..she huffed back with a 'I hate Americans" to which I got really annoyed "I AM NOT AMERICAN"....

The next week waiting in line...a gentleman, starts chatting to me...and is flabbergasted that I am here from halfway across the world, he can't understand what I am doing here...so I ask him what he is doing here...but my family...he responds...well, I guess I am meant to make one here...that's the point...I should really remember to do that...it's something I forgot to put on my shopping list...

This week...standing in line for the butcher counter...a butcher is cutting up whole chickens into pieces, the man behind me is getting antsy...why sin't he serving people, why is he cutting up the whole chickens, I want a whole chicken?? Very perplexed...He is insisting on calling the manager, and screaming, dancing up and down...why don't you just calm down I say, I don't think that if you scream louder that you will be served quicker....
Afterwards, roaming around the store, the butcher comes up to me and thanks me...No worries mate...I don't understand what he thought he was gaining, he agrees...even without a line they scream he says...

If I could bottle up all the rage in Israel, I could solve the world's energy crisis, and then I would turn the leftovers into water and make the Negev bloom.
